What is involved in a spring cleanup?
During a spring cleanup our main focus is cleaning up the landscaping on your property. This primarily involves cutting ornamental grasses down, trimming and shaping shrubs, raking or blowing out beds, and hauling all the removed material away. We can also trim and raise up tree canopies. Many times we will mow and bag the entire lawn to get all the leaves and debris so it is fresh and ready for spring growth. Following cleanup we can also apply a granular pre-emerge in your rock or mulch beds to help with pesky weeds that pop up during the season. New mulch or a mulch refresh can also be done at this time.
Is spring the best or only time cleanups can be done?
Absolutely not. We do cleanups in both late fall and spring. It really depends on your preference and when you prefer it done. There may also be fast growing shrubs or landscape plantings that need a trim mid-season to keep shaped.
